Anatomy of a Composition - Sacramento Creek
There are more ways to explore the mountains, on foot, from a distance, and now even in the air. Aerial images were once the providence of air planes and helicopters, with telephoto lenses and the results were often problematic at best.
Exploring the highest parts of Colorado from the new drone as winter is letting go has offered some beautiful new scenes. Splashes of color highlight the changing light, and warmer temperatures mean that frozen tributaries will begin to flow and snowpacks will find their way bubbling streams.
After a day of working in the mountains it was relaxing to have camera and drone in hand and see some old sites from a new perspective. The 11 minutes of footage represents a distillation of some 40 minutes of flying, with a tour of Sacramento Gulch and a flyover of Pennsylvania Mountain highlighting the adventure.
As always, thank you for the continued support and for following along on this journey!
