Anatomy of a Composition - 303 Day

303 Day is not an official holiday, in terms of the actual State calendar and its agenda, but the third day of the third month is the day to remember Colorado for its original telephone area code that spread across the entire state, "303."

A second prefix, "719" was adopted in 1988 to accommodate the state's growing population, but 303 is the one that is celebrated, and this year's 303 sunrise was an exceptional one. There was time before heading into work to set up the cameras from a few perspectives to take in the changing colors and growing light. While it is easy to take these moments for granted, watching the invasion and bloodshed unfold as Russia invades Ukraine is a reminder of important each moment is, and there can still be beauty.
