Anatomy of a Composition - February Nights
The galactic core of the Milky Way has returned to the Northern Hemisphere's the hunt will be on for the combination of dark skies, reflective bodies of water and clear air to create both memorable experiences and breathtaking images.
This year’s adventure started on the familiar slopes of Loveland Pass, with both an overnight timelapse of the core and a the Dawn Patrol headed to their wintery destination. The next segments include new compositions of night fall and snow maintenance at Breckenridge, then a foggy dawn over the familiar Gore Range. The over night was washed out by snowfall, but it was a good chance to scout a new location, which served as the setting for the next night’s rise of Orion and the early morning re-appearance of the galactic core.
Overall the combined locations produced a few thousand images, and another few hours of editing to create the full time lapse. I hope you enjoy this change in format and content, though new images will be appearing in their regular spots as the days produced their own fantastic scenes.
As always, thank you for the continued support and for following along on this journey!
