Anatomy of a Composition - quiet spring nights

When the spring night dreams come true, moments like this are absolutely breathless, and the quiet night bursts to life under the sea of stars. The Milky Way core has returned to the Northern Hemisphere so the hunt will begin again for clear, moonless night skies. Loveland Pass makes a for a perfect vantage point to view the early season arch, whether to create a static panorama or a time lapse.

The early season arch is visible in the hours before dawn as opposed to the late season core that begins to stand out just after sunset later in September and October. The real benefit to me though is the snow - the dream-like atmosphere it provides by contrasting the more colorful night sky has drawn me out now for the 6th March in a row. Each time I see the arch and the galactic core it’s as if I find myself all over again after a fitful dream.

Hopefully this is just the beginning of a series of adventures in 2024, with many, many nights out under the stars.

As always, thank you the support and for following along on the journey! Look to the YouTube channel soon for the latest time lapse!
