Anatomy of a Composition - The West Can Change You - II

Certainly not my first blog featuring the scenery around Steamboat Springs. The iconic Moore Barn, which now features as a small park inside of the city limits, is striking and photogenic no matter the season. Finding it buried on a fresh coating snow was a welcome site.

I missed Steamboat in 2022, so I didn’t want to have a second winter pass without at least a day in the Yampa Valley snow, and fortunately for me I arrived early enough in the midst of another round of wintery weather.

The snow flurries were a bit unforgiving. but the final composition made me incredibly happy - the emptiness of the park combined with the failing snow make a perfect winter scene.
