Anatomy of a Composition - Home for the Holidays

The greetings and farewells, along with the wrangling of curious children brought to mind more adventurous Christmas journeys, like Christmas of 2006 when the city shut down and school ls got an extra few days of Christmas Break.

Union Station has made a miraculous transition over the years, with shops and restaurants not only serving the train’s passengers, but the spot becoming a destination itself and an anchor for the LoDo District of Denver. As much as I’m enjoying the mild weather, this scene would be far more magical with a coating of fresh snow - hopefully that will happen soon enough. That 2006 storm is such as vivid memory as that year my brother arrived on the train, so navigating the snow covered streets in and out of downtown made the adventure that much more worth it!

Just as a reminder, this year’s calendar is now available and they are ready to ship! It features a collection of shots taken each month from around Colorado to share the unique beauty of the state throughout the entire year. You can preview a Web Gallery for all of the images inside this year’s calendar.

December, 2021 - As always, thank you for the support and for joining me on this adventure.
