Second Year Perspectives...
It has been a little over two years into my photography adventure and I can’t believe how much I still have to learn. Every moment has been thrilling, challenging, disheartening and rewarding all at the same time.
I haven’t been able to keep to my intention to shoot less, I’m still very impulsive in the field; I shoot many, many images at once never certain which image is going to work best. I don’t know if that’s a result of a lack of confidence, or specific skill, but I still come back with a couple of hundred images each day I go out.
I’ve had to good fortune of a second show award, and was invited to contribute to another show though unfortunately didn’t make a final cut. Four different locations around the city have displayed my work in the last year, and that has meant many, many compliments and great conversations.
Staying close this summer and focusing on Colorado images was a grand blessing. I spent time with friends and family around the state, and learned that building camper van is much, much harder than I’d anticipated.
As always, thank you for following along on this adventure. Thanksgiving will mean a quick trip to Michigan, so hopefully some photography opportunities will avail themselves up north.
